Undertale
About Undertale
Undertale is a unique indie RPG where you can complete the entire journey without killing any monsters. The game gives you the power to choose how to treat the underworld, and those choices will change the entire story, the characters, and the ending you receive.
A Human-Filled Underworld
The story begins when a child falls into the Underworld - where all monsters are imprisoned after a war with humans. Your journey back home is not a conquest, but an adventure to meet memorable characters, each with their own personality, fears, and dreams:
Key Characters
- Sans & Papyrus: A pair of humorous, lazy, and passionate skeleton brothers. They will make you laugh and challenge you with their "rib" puzzles.
- Undyne: A fierce general with a burning heart, who is willing to do anything to protect her kind.
- Alphys: A shy, bookish, anime-loving royal scientist.
- Mettaton: A metal-box entertainer with dramatic performances who always tries to "kill" you on TV.
You will love them, laugh at them, and even cry over them. And that's why hitting the "Fight" button is so hard.

Gameplay that "Reverses" All the Rules
Undertale combines traditional turn-based RPGs with challenging bullet hell elements. When attacked, you control a small heart to avoid the attacks of monsters, each with their own way of attacking.
Action and Mercy
- ACT (Action): Interact with monsters in many ways such as petting, jumping, or chatting. If done correctly, the word MERCY (Forgiveness) will light up, allowing you to end the match without fighting.
- MERCY: Spare monsters immediately or after weakening them. This is the best ending.
Each choice to kill or spare affects the plot and subsequent events. The game world will remember all your actions.
Three Paths of Destiny: Who Are You?
Conclusion
Undertale is a game where every decision becomes a part of the story, where small actions can change the course of events in unpredictable ways. It feels similar to playing Dead Plate or Mel At Night, where the game world directly responds to what you do.
