You Are Rody, A Waiter With A “Troubling” Past

You play as Rody, a new waiter with a “job-hopping” record. The first work day starts at 5am in a fancy 1960s French restaurant. The person who greets you is Vince – a young, handsome and talented chef, and also the restaurant owner. He is charming and successful, but his eyes and words are controlling and sarcastic. You are reminded that this is a “dream job” that you should be grateful for, and at the same time, you are underestimated because of your “troubling” past.

The gameplay of Dead Plate is quite familiar:

Welcome guests and arrange tables.
Take orders in the correct order: appetizer, main course, side dish, dessert.
Take the order slip to the kitchen and serve guests in the correct order.
Clear tables and take out the trash at the back of the restaurant.

It all sounds simple, but the pressure is always there. Mouse clicks are sometimes difficult to be precise, the trash can fills up quickly, the stubborn customers lose patience strangely. You are the only weak link in this perfect machine, and all mistakes are yours.
