He is the author of the series of characters in the comic book series The Monsters, in which Labubu is one of the most prominent characters.

According to Wikipedia, Labubu was first introduced in 2015 as a figurine in the series The Monsters, produced by How2Work. By 2019, the collaboration with the blind box brand Pop Mart helped Labubu become widely popular worldwide.

Wikipedia also confirmed that the character Labubu was created by Kasing Lung and was officially produced and distributed by Pop Mart afterwards.
