About Rocket Fortress

Rocket Fortress is a clicker RPG game with tactical defence aspects in which you command the last rocket stronghold in the apocalypse. The game, which will be released by AZ Game on October 13, 2025, depicts a chaotic universe in which each missile launch has a small chance of survival among the waves of monsters that flood the skies.

Rocket Fortress – When War Breaks Out Between The Sky And Hell

In a world where demons, zombies and mutant creatures are waiting to wipe out humanity, you are the one behind the missile cannon, the last fortress in the chaos. Rocket Fortress is both a battle for survival and a journey of evolution as you upgrade your firepower, recruit allies, and optimize your tactics to survive each wave of death.

Different from a pure clicker, Rocket Fortress has a “click + auto” style you can hold down the Spacebar to launch missiles continuously, or click manually. When upgraded to a high level, the system will “auto-target” every enemy army that appears but can you optimize this amount of missiles?

Gameplay & Main Mechanics

1. Attack & Defense

  • Launch Missiles: Hold Spacebar or click to fire. When you hold, missiles launch almost continuously creating a feeling of non-stop action.
  • Auto-target: When you have enough upgrades, the system automatically selects targets reducing the burden of operations but still requiring you to intervene when bosses appear or when there are priority enemies to deal with.

2. Upgrades & Weapon Systems

In Rocket Fortress, upgrades determine your progress. Here are the areas you should pay attention to:

  • Swap Launchers: There are 4 main types:
    • Javelin Launcher – available from the start, usually launches 3 missiles every 2 seconds.
    • War Commander – can launch 5 missiles every 2 seconds.
    • Doomslayer – stronger, increased speed and damage.
    • Apocalypse – “top tier”, can launch ~7 missiles every 2 seconds.
  • Marine / Battlefield Allies: Recruit marines to help deal with single enemies or block nearby intruders.
  • Laser Lock: After playing for ~20 minutes, you can activate the laser lock ability for 2 minutes — slowing, identifying priority targets, or dealing extra damage.
  • Mineral Mine: Can be activated once every 10 minutes to earn vital resources for upgrades or buffs.
  • Time Buffs & Power-ups: During boss or raid stages, use special power-ups to increase damage, firing speed, or unlock special bullets.

3. Raid, Boss & Cooperative Mode (Co-op)

  • Strong Boss & Raid Event: Every few stages, a gigantic boss appears. You must coordinate, apply buffs, and defend correctly to beat it.
  • Co-op / Alliance Mode: Join forces with other players on the same server or guild to coordinate firepower, share resources, and compete in rankings.

Strengths & Challenges

Strengths

  • Strong Sense of Action: Hold Space to shoot continuously, creating a "bloody" feeling, different from clicking repeatedly.
  • Integration Between Clicking & Auto: When you are strong, the auto-target system helps reduce unnecessary operations, but still maintains the need for tactical intervention during chaotic boss fights.
  • Diverse Tactics: Launcher selection, timing buffs, and resource management create long-term strategic depth.
  • Cooperative & Competitive Elements: Raid and co-op modes make the game both personal and communal.

Challenges

  • Mid-stage Balance: If difficulty doesn’t scale with level, the game can feel too easy or too punishing for new players.
  • Resource Dependence: Excessive reliance on “mineral” upgrades may create a grind-heavy experience.
  • High Manipulation Fatigue: Even with hold-to-shoot mechanics, too much manual switching or buffing can become tiring.
  • Lack of Clear Tactical Guidance: Without clear upgrade directions, players may waste resources and lose progress efficiency.

Conclusion

Rocket Fortress is a real test of your reflexes and mental strength. Each barrage of missiles feels both out of control and in control. The quick pace, several explosions, and constant pressure make the player feel like they're in a tactical storm.
